Your Friend in Venice is a group of local collaborators, guides and city experts (with a North American base) whose strengths emcompase broad areas of expertise, along with a passion for sharing them. We have sought to create tours and services that are just a bit out of the ordinary, tailored for curious, adventurous travelers.

We are often asked about “Secret Venice” which, in our opinion, is found more in the how than the where and what. With millions of visitors passing through each year, there are few locations left on this conglomeration of tiny islands that have not been combed over, cataloged, painstakingly documented guidebooks and websites galore. Our Venice may not be theirs, but will be that of inquisitive travelers, whose expectations are to observe, discover, absorb, and above all appreciate the unique beauty and ambience found nowhere else in the world.
